Veterans Appreciation 2020

This year, Ohio Flame Inc. is honored to select one tough Marine who has served his Country, and has continued to do so much for his community.

Veterans Appreciation 2020 Submission from Steve Hibbits:

"I would like to submit Ben Weisfeld (Marine) in your contest. He is a great guy and served our country proudly! He helps kids with behavior problems and also fosters dogs to help them until adoption. He trains and competes in the NVWG (National Veterans Wheelchair Games) annually and also many weight lifting competitions during the year. He was in the Marines from 1997-2002. He was attached to the New River Air Station and he built power plants for CH-53 helicopters. He was working on one when he fell and landed on concrete floor. He was able to get up and move but kept having problems with his back after the fall. After a couple of years they decided to do surgery to fix his back and after the second surgery he was paralyzed from the surgery. He has been in a wheelchair for 21 years now. As I said he is very active outdoors and loves to hunt deer. He also love riding his Harley which is one of the pics I have attached."
